Applied Media Analysis, Inc Releases Arabic Dataset 1.0

September 2007 – Applied Media Analysis, Inc announces the release of it's Arabic Dataset 1.0! This collection of 5000 documents was derived from a unique set of 200 Arabic documents transcribed by 49 different writers from six different origins. The handwritten collection contains various document types including forms, memos, poems, diagrams, and number lists in both English and Indic digits. The writings were produced in various utensils including pencil, thick markers, fine point pen, and ball point pens. The datset is in binary and grayscale settings although additonal settings are available. Datasets


Applied Media Analysis, Inc Releases V-Code Trial & Demos

April 2007 – Applied Media Analysis, Inc announces the launch of it’s free V-Code trial software! This patent-pending technology allows users to download V-Code demonstrations ranging from background images to mobile games. Expanding on the QR-code market, which is widespread throughout Asia, V-Codes allow users to download large files presented visually from any TV, monitor, flat panel device, CLD, CRT, or movie screen. The free trial software can be downloaded after registering with MyAMA, MobileAMA’s private technology community. Applied Media Analysis, Inc Releases Next Generation Barcode Scanner

February 2007- Applied Media Analysis, Inc announces the launch of its next generation Mobile Barcode Reader software for mobile devices. This new software allows the camera phone to scan 1D and 2D barcodes with functionality and at speeds that approximate a laser scanner. Mobile Barcode Reader makes it possible to scan 1D and 2D barcodes much like a laser scanner in that the user simply waves the device over the barcode and it beeps. This breakthrough technology reads a barcode twenty times faster than other camera phone software solutions. June 2006 - Applied Media Analysis, Inc. announces the availability of the AMA Mobile Barcode SDK, a software development toolkit (SDK) for integrating barcode reading into mobile platforms and applications. The mobile SDK provides a platform independent technology which can be integrated into most major mobile platform including the Windows Mobile, Symbian platforms, Windows, and Linux. The SDK is specifically designed for the needs of mobile barcode solution, and combines powerful barcode reading functions with a very small software footprint which runs smoothly on the limited resources a mobile device usually has. AMA's mobile barcode SDK is extremely efficient and can provide instant results with an extremely small memory requirement. Developers can easily embed barcode functionality into most mobile imaging devices, including camera phones, digital cameras, PDAs, palmtops, handheld scanners, web-cams and other camera-based hardware. Barcode reading capability embedded into handheld devices allows users to easily turn their camera phone into a personal barcode scanner.
