Applied Media Analysis, Inc Releases Next Generation Barcode Scanner
February 2007- Applied Media Analysis, Inc
announces the launch of its next generation Mobile Barcode Reader
software for mobile devices.
This new software allows the camera phone to
scan 1D and 2D barcodes with functionality and at speeds that
approximate
a laser scanner. Mobile Barcode Reader makes it
possible to scan 1D and 2D barcodes much like a laser scanner
in that the user simply waves the device over the barcode and
it beeps. This breakthrough technology reads a barcode twenty
times faster than other camera phone software solutions. AMA's
patent pending Mobile Barcode Reader technology is a powerful
tool that
requires no new infrastructure
since
it uses popular mobile devices and existing barcodes seen on
all products and packages. Visit the Mobile AMA website to see
a video of this new technology. MobileAMA
Applied Media Analysis, Inc Releases Mobile Barcode SDK
June 2006 - Applied Media Analysis, Inc.
announces the availability of the AMA Mobile Barcode SDK, a
software development toolkit (SDK) for integrating barcode
reading into mobile platforms and applications. The mobile
SDK provides a platform independent technology which can be
integrated into most major mobile platform including the Windows
Mobile, Symbian platforms, Windows, and Linux. The SDK is specifically
designed for the needs of mobile barcode solution, and combines
powerful barcode reading functions with a very small software
footprint which runs smoothly on the limited resources a mobile
device usually has. AMA's mobile barcode SDK is extremely efficient
and can provide instant results with an extremely small memory
requirement. Developers can easily embed barcode functionality
into most mobile imaging devices, including camera phones,
digital cameras, PDAs, palmtops, handheld scanners, web-cams
and other camera-based hardware. Barcode reading capability
embedded into handheld devices allows users to easily turn
their camera phone into a personal barcode scanner.
